Diamond Set Up and Take Down
Diamond Set Up
- Arrive 30min prior to warmup to ensure the diamond is set up.
- Line diamond from home past first base and same with third base. Using chalker and string.
- Line batters box (use template behind dugout).
- On-deck circles are 5’ diameter and placed in a safe location adjacent to the end of the dugout are closest to home plate.
- Set up score clock and table if needed.

Notes:
- Pitching distance is measured from the front of the pitching plate to the back of home plate.
- Softball pitching circle is 16’ diameter drawn from center of front edge of pitching plate for U9 and older.
Diamond Take Down
- Rake, level, and water batters boxes, catcher and umpire position, pitching mound, on deck circle and anywhere else that needs it.
- Remove bases
- Lock up rakes, watering can, and bases.
- If you are the last one at the diamond please lock the equipment room and bathroom doors.
